5 things worth sharing: Focusmate, a new online course, weekly insights, my best August article, and where I stole the title of this email

Here are 5 things I thought were worth sharing with you this month:

1 - Can you reach a “flow” state on demand? Yes. With Focusmate, a virtual coworking platform that helps you get things done. I used to believe that I had to wait for inspiration to show up to get things done. I was wrong. Thanks to signing up for this tool, August was one of my most productive months.

3 - After publishing a new article seven days a week for a year, I decided to shift gears to leave more time on my schedule for other projects. I am currently publishing three times a week, usually on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday-ish. I also syndicate my content to more platforms like LinkedIn, Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter. 4 - People following me on LinkedIn seemed to have enjoyed How To Respond To Leadership, one of my latest articles. A client situation inspired me to write this piece, which I framed as a mini guide. Why do I focus on leadership? Building a strategic narrative IS an act of leadership, not something your marketing or communication department does—more on this in my book.

5 - Saving the best for last! The title of this email is stolen from a great source of leadership inspiration: Leadership is ALWAYS a Choice: Tools for action when leading in a hot mess, the latest book of my dear colleague, client, and friend Rick Torseth. This book is a guide for people interested in diving deep into the practice of mobilizing people. Rick wrote it with authenticity, simplicity, and warmth. It reads fast and without BS. I truly enjoyed it, and I recommend it.
